Often we think of religion and ethics in the same way we think of ice cream--we want what tastes good or what we like. But maybe our method should be different when it comes to thinking about God, religion, and morality. After all, we need medicine for our illness, not dessert.

Creation Apologetics Workshop

sunrise-1756274_1280.jpg

In the beginning…

Answering objections to secular timelines

In this workshop, we’ll be focusing on creation apologetics—equipping you to respond to questions about the age of the earth, the “big bang,” and distant starlight.

Ages

Anyone age 12 - adult is welcome. Younger kids will still get a lot of out of most of the sessions, but the third session on Saturday (“How can we see distant stars in a young universe?”) is a bit technical.

Schedule

Friday, November 15

  • 6:45pm - 7:45pm: Why should anyone believe the Bible?

  • 8:00pm - 9:00pm: How long has mankind been on the earth?

Saturday, November 16

  • 9:00am - 9:50am: How long was creation “week”?

  • 10:00am - 10:50am: Did God use the big bang?

  • 11:00am - 11:50am: How can we see distant stars in a young universe?

  • 11:50am - 12:30pm: Q&A
